The camp is adjacent to popular Woods Canyon Lake and situated in thick pine forests providing a great getaway for large groups of up to 100 people. The Woods Canyon Lake Store offers boat rentals groceries beer wine fishing tackle camping gear firewood ice fishing hunting licenses and hunting permit tags.

The campground sits at an elevation of 7500 feet and located close to the shore of the lake under a mix ponderosa pine. Especially after a hike on a warm summers day this is a treat few campers will be able to resist. A short walk will take you to the Rim Lakes Vista Trail which runs along the edge of the Rim.

The Woods Canyon Lake Store Has One of Northern Arizonas Largest Ice Cream Selections. Along with groceries firewood camping gear ice beer and wine and fishing bait and tackle the Woods Canyon Lake Store also claims to have one of the largest ice cream selections in Northern Arizona. The Woods Canyon Lake Store and Marina rents boats and sells licenses and fishing supplies.

Spillway Campground with only 26 campsites is much smaller than neighboring Aspen Campground which has 136 campsites. Spillway Campground is one of several pine covered campgrounds around Woods Canyon Lake in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and is popular for fishing. Just an overall great place to get away for the day and have a picnic.

Mogollon Campground although not directly in the Woods Canyon Recreation area sits just outside and is only 2 miles from the lakeFor those who like spectacular views this campground is one of the closest to the Mogollon Rim. Woods Canyon Lake Store is a seasonal operation. Aspen Campground is set just 12 mile south of the lake and has 136 campsites which are all nicely spaced you wont feel too crowded even for such a large campground.
