Woods Canyon Lake is a scenic 52 acre lake surrounded by Ponderosa pine Douglas fir and oak. The road to Woods Canyon Lake is open. Aspen Campground Woods Canyon Lake Aspen Campground is a large campground located at Woods Canyon Lake in Sitgreaves National Forest offers tent and RV family camping under ponderosa pines and in grassy meadows.

The camp is adjacent to popular Woods Canyon Lake and situated in thick pine forests providing a great getaway for large groups of up to 100 people. Spillway Campground with only 26 campsites is much smaller than neighboring Aspen Campground which has 136 campsites. Aspen Campground is set just 12 mile south of the lake and has 136 campsites which are all nicely spaced you wont feel too crowded even for such a large campground.

Situated in a pine forest with plenty of shade the campground has individual campsites as well as one group campsite for small gatherings. This entire campground is by reservation only. Situated a bit further from Woods Canyon Lake the Crook Campground is a large group campground.
