Wood Plank Salmon
Place the planks on the grill grates close the cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until salmon is done to your liking.
Wood plank salmon. Firing up the grill and cooking salmon on a smoldering charred piece of wood is a game-changer. Then place them on the grill 3-5 minutes with the lid closed or until they start to crackle and smoke. Whatever you use to soak the plank make sure its fully submerged in water and soak for 1-2 hours.
Rub bottom of the salmon skin with some oil. Cook in the oven for 12-15 minutes. Step 1 Soak cedar plank in salted water for 2 hours then drain.
Lay down slices of lemon on the wood plank and add salmon filets on top until all are on the planks. Take them out of the water and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Brush salmon with the flavored butter.
It is a simple healthy way to add a little more flavor. Rinse the plank with water to remove any dust. Soak the cedar planks for at least 1 hour in warm water.
I used a cedar plank over direct med-high heat on gas grill. Once the fire is ready add your salmon to the cool side of the grill and cover the pit or grill. Kept a water spray bottle handy so plank didnt.
HOW TO GRILL SALMON ON THE PLANK. Season with salt and pepper. Douse or mist the planks with a bit of water if it catches fire.
