To clean wood kitchen cabinets make a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Scrub harder at any gummy or particularly dirty spots until they disappear. Brush the damp cloth with light pressure over the entire surface of the wood.
When cleaning wood furnishings never use all-purpose cleaning sprays such as the kind used on kitchen tables unless your furniture has a plastic coating. Dip a soft cloth in the solution wring it out and wipe the entire piece. Apply the wax liberally with a cheesecloth always being sure to rub in the direction of the wood grain.
To clean wood furniture start by dusting it with a soft lint-free cloth. Use a second cloth or sponge dipped in clean water to remove the cleaner from all surfaces. When these oils dry they form a hard protective layer on the wood.
Then mix 1 gallon of warm water with ½ a cup of liquid dish detergent making it as sudsy as possible. Use a toothbrush dipped in the cleaner to scrub the hardware the wood around the hardware and the crevices of ornate trim. You want a damp cloth not a wet one.
Clean the wood surface with a small amount of warm water and dish soap if the surface is heavily soiled. For deeper cleaning spray oil soap wood cleaner onto the cabinets and gently rub it in with a towel. If its fine combine a few drops of dish soap with a cup of water and gently work on the gummy section.
