Emma Wood State Beach Campground is an RV and trailer-only campground located along a scenic stretch of sand near the city of Ventura.

The sites are dirt parking spaces along the ocean side of State Beach Access Road off Highway 101. All campsites are for self-contained vehicles only no tent or car camping allowed.

Very basic sites most of which are not level and are rocky. 90 is probably the best spot in the campground. In February 2017 we stayed in our Motorhome at Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura CA.

North Beach Campground is limited to self-contained RVs or trailers. This is camping at California State Parks. We had 4 nice bikes chained up with a brand new bike lock attached to our camper.

In the middle of the night they come and cut your locks and take bikes. The campground is wedged between the surf and US Highway 101 with the railroad tracks cutting through the middle making this campground more of a parking lot for RVs with beach access.
